Ever since the Pax 2 came out in 2015, it has been one of the most popular choices among vapers everywhere. It has yet to lose its appeal and is still a well-loved, frequently used vaporizer choice. If you're thinking about getting a Pax 2 or have just unboxed yours for the first time and are ready to learn something simple like how to turn Pax 2 off or just how to use it in general, check out the Pax 2 tips in this Pax 2 user guide.

Charging the Pax 2

With your Pax 2, you'll get a charging cradle that will be used to power your vape. To charge it, place the Pax 2 on this charging cradle, being sure to connect the two ports found on the back of the vape to the two prongs that can be found on the charging dock. Be sure that the Pax 2 charging cable is plugged into the power source completely and then again into the charging dock itself.

The LED petals on the Pax 2 will light up depending on how much charge it has. When the vaporizer is charging and the battery is anywhere between zero and 24 percent charged, all of these little petals will flash on and off. When the battery hits 25 percent to 49 percent charged, the top left petal will be a solid glow. Between 50 percent and 74 percent of being charged, the top two petals will then turn solid. Between 75 percent to 99 percent, three of the petals will glow solid. When the Pax 2 is finally charged, all of the petals will be solid.

Typically, this process takes around two or three hours to complete. This depends on the power outlet; for instance, using a wall outlet is going to charge this dry herb vaporizer more quickly than charging it on a car charger or computer.

Loading the Pax 2

Before vaping, you need to know how to pack a vaporizer, such as the Pax 2. First, just remove the lid by pressing down on one side of it and let it pop out. Be sure to grind down the herb in an ultra-fine manner and pack it tightly for best results. Use a high-quality grinder to achieve the right consistency. Once it's packed, tamp it down using any loading tool. Then, put the oven lid back on. Be sure that the Pax 2 chamber has been cooled off before you take off the oven lid, as it can burn your fingers when it's hot; it should be cool in only a few minutes after turning it off.

When you do load it, be sure that you have overfilled the chamber slightly so you can pack it down nice and tight. The herb should sit flush with the brim of the oven. This provides you with even smoother and more efficient hits. It is recommended that you load anywhere between .15 grams and .35 grans at a time.

Changing Temperatures

To switch the temperature, just press the button in the center of the Pax 2 and hold it down to access the temperature control mode. Then, press down on this button quickly to cycle through the four available temperatures. Once you have selected the vaporizer temperature you want, hold that same button down in order to secure your choice. The temps will be displayed using the lights on the four petals. They are as follows:

- One petal means the temperature is set at 360 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Two petals means the temperature is set at 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Three petals means the temperature is set at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Four petals means the temperature is set at 420 degrees Fahrenheit.

Best Hitting Methods

You can hit the Pax 2 in two different ways: rips or sip. Sipping is the method of taking tiny little draws from the vape as if you were sipping tea. Usually, a sip draw will last between two and four seconds. Those who rip it take much large hits and, in turn, get more herbal vapor. You can choose to rip or sip the Pax 2 depending on your preference. Some people start by sipping and then rip it as the session goes on to ensure the vapor production is consistent.

Cleaning and Maintenance

If you want your Pax 2 to last for as long as possible, it is imperative that you take care of it. The first part of that is knowing when to clean it. When you start to see buildup in the Pax 2 screen, mouthpiece, chamber or vapor tube, you will know that it's time. You will also notice that it is time to clean when the hits become weaker, less flavorful or less efficient. It is recommended to keep cleaning your vaporizer at least once a month.

To clean, you will need a few tools such as isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs. You will want to start by soaking the screen and the mouthpiece in the alcohol and, while the mouthpiece is soaking, you will want to dip a cotton swab into alcohol and gently swab down the chamber. Thoroughly remove any buildup, and run a pipe cleaner through the vapor path to floss it out.
